Alisa Femia completed a fellowship in Dermatology-Rheumatology at Brigham & Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School following her dermatology residency training. She is currently Associate Professor within the department of dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and is passionate about the care of patients within the realm of Dermatology-Rheumatology and complex medical dermatology. Her clinical practice currently involves three weekly Dermatology-Rheumatology clinics, taking place in both public and private academic hospital-based settings, as well as regular rounds on the Inpatient Dermatology service throughout the year. She serves as Director of Inpatient Dermatology, Director of Autoimmune Connective Tissue Disease, and Director of Faculty Development within the department of dermatology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
His research interests span her clinical interests, with many ongoing projects including those involving patients with dermatomyositis, lupus erythematosus, granulomatous conditions, polyarteritis nodosa, as well as the intersection of cardiovascular disease and cutaneous autoimmunity. She is active in a variety of national professional organizations, is heavily involved in resident education, and is regularly invited to speak on the national and international level on her areas of expertise.
